Summer, morning:

  • East into Bear Creek
  • Launch is steep but grassy
  • Cycles are typically light
  • Light wind reverse is preferable over forward
  • Often a convergence forms

Summer, afternoon

  • West off Gold Hill
  • Broad, grassy launch
  • Winds 250-300 optimal
  • Cycles >18mph not recommended

Winter

  • We typically fly during the heat of the day
  • Paragliding/snow shoe passes available for $10
  • Must wear skis on non-detachable lifts
  • Top landing Gold Hill/Ski area is not allowed

Two PG LZs (yellow) are Town Park and Pearl. Hazards (red) include barbed wire fence and pond. Town park may have hazards such as dogs, trees, people, goal posts & fences.

Hang gliders can now land again on The Valley Floor!  Thanks to everyone who helped make that happen.
